Bolton & Fleitz

National Security Advisor John Bolton has named the equally deluded Islamophobe Fred Fleitz as his chief of staff.

Now, the bigot can lead the bigoted.

In all seriousness though, Fleitz is coming to the White House administration from the Center for Security Policy, an organization that has been designated as an anti-Muslim extremist group by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

You can’t get much more openly bigoted than that.

Back in the days of the George W. Bush administration, Bolton was ushered in to service through a recess appointment because Bush knew he wouldn’t be able to get Bolton nominated or confirmed by the senate, who saw him for the unstable warmonger that he is.

Thus, he became a United Nations Ambassador.

Even then, he and Fleitz were close, and Bolton appointed him as his undersecretary of state.

These days, Bolton has returned to power as the National Security Advisor, an enormously influential position within the administration that conveniently does not require senate confirmation.

And of course, he’s bringing Fleitz along for the ride once more.

Here’s a taste of the now second most powerful person in National Security:

“It’s certainly true there are some communities in the United States have not assimilated. I’m not concerned about Amish or Jewish communities. But I will tell you that there are enclaves of Muslim communities in Michigan and Minnesota that concern me. We know that in Minnesota there’s a rising rate of measles because the community has not assimilated into the rest of the community and is not vaccinating their children. This is wrong. This is a big problem. The problem with these Muslim communities is that it is making us susceptible to this radical worldview that wants to destroy modern society, create a global caliphate and impose Sharia law on everyone on Earth.” — Fred Fleitz

This was Fleitz’s response to last year’s London Bridge terror attack which resulted in eight fatalities.

And this is the man he’s serving describing his op-ed, “To Stop Iran’s Bomb, Bomb Iran.”

“Well, the negotiations, whether they lead to an agreement or not, are not going to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. They are so far advanced now, the concessions they’ve made are so trivial and easily reversible, that the deal actually legitimizes Iran’s existing nuclear program. So, my conclusion is not a happy one, but given that if Iran gets nuclear weapons, so will Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey and maybe others, that just as Israel twice before has struck nuclear weapons programs in the hands of hostile states, I am afraid, given the circumstances, that’s the only real option open to us now.” — John Bolton

So now we have a person heading National Security who has talked for years about his desire to bomb Iran whose right-hand-man is a professional Islamophobe.
