The Waffle House Hero

James Shaw Jr., the hero who stopped a Waffle House shooting in Nashville, Tennessee last month has raised over $200,000 for the victims’ families and may soon be meeting with the president.

Last month, James Shaw Jr. saved dozens of lives when he wrestled an automatic rifle away from an active shooter in a Nashville, Tennessee Waffle House.

The 29-year-old who was also injured in the shooting has raised over $224,000 for the families of the victims through a GoFundMe page.

Although it’s been almost three weeks since the incident, the White House has only recently announced efforts to organize a meeting with Shaw Jr.
